Quality Manager Sanderson are working with a well-known Irish Food Group to recruit for the position of a Quality Manager. Responsibilities: Leadership and Communication: Lead and develop a team of technologists, coordinate with departments, and influence decisions to meet food safety and quality standards while representing the team at senior management levels. Department and Process Management: Integrate and monitor KPI targets, manage the department's budget, oversee product launches, and champion training in food safety and quality, ensuring continuous process and system improvements. Quality and Compliance Systems: Lead HACCP and TACCP teams, maintain site food safety systems, manage internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. Customer and Supplier Relations: Manage customer specifications, complaints, and technical inquiries; represent the company in customer meetings; oversee supplier evaluations, audits, and approvals. Product Testing and Improvement: Oversee raw material, process, and product testing, manage non-conformances, drive continuous improvement, and ensure product traceability, safety, and shelf-life analysis. Requirements: Diploma or higher in a Food Science related subject. 5 years' experience in a similar role in FMCG or a food retail environment. Knowledge of BRC standards required and preferably with familiarity of cooking processes and high care facilities. HACCP Certification is essential. Team management and leadership skills are a must. Strong knowledge of food legislation, BRC Global Food Standard and specific customer standards and codes of practise.
