Innovate within the chilled category at Ireland's fastest growing consumer foods business and largest chilled ready-meal manufacturer. We are specialists at manufacturing, retail, and service channels. The Quality Manager will work closely with production and maintenance teams to manage site Food Safety & Quality in compliance with legal and customer requirements.
- Ensure food safety, quality, and legality of all products produced, complying with customer specifications.
- Manage a team of QA to ensure best performance and collaboration.
- Provide technical expertise and advice in food safety.
- Manage, implement, and monitor the Food Safety Management system, including the HACCP plan.
- Drive continuous improvement through developing and progressing the current quality systems and operational processes.
- Lead by example to encourage, manage, and develop the Quality Assurance team.
- Support business improvement projects and site HACCP/ TACCP teams.
- Ensure effective hygiene and pest control programmes, and complete audits with effective corrective actions.
- Review and trend site microbiological results, identifying adverse results and coordinating corrective actions.
Essential experience and knowledge:
- Level 8 Degree in a food-related discipline.
- Previous Quality Management experience within the food manufacturing setting.
- Experience working within the ready meals industry is an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of auditing, quality standards, and systems, including HACCP and food legislation.
- Project management and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Experience working with retailers and their audit requirements is beneficial.
- GFSI standards, including BRC, and strong IT skills are desirable.
Salary: €55K - €65K. Location: Monaghan. 40 hours contract.
