Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist: Maintain customer specifications, conduct audits, and manage data entry in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic global food company.

This is a fully onsite role reporting to the Head of Quality and Technical. The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Maintain comprehensive customer specification databases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Update internal specifications for product additions and delisting's, adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • Facilitate customer requests related to allergens, packaging, and specification management, ensuring prompt and effective responses.
  • Conduct annual specification reviews in alignment with customer requirements, as well as three-year reviews outside of customer scope.
  • Manage data entry into the company's ESG reporting system, focusing on packaging sustainability, health & nutrition, and sustainable sourcing.
  • Conduct internal quality panels according to testing schedules, initiating necessary follow-up actions internally and externally with suppliers.
  • Prepare monthly and annual KPI reports to track quality performance metrics.
  • Oversee internal systems for product addition and delisting.
  • Perform internal audits against BRC and customer requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Complete customer supplier questionnaires accurately and within specified timelines.
  • Participate in site lead projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.

Key Experience / Skills:

  • Minimum qualifications: recognised certificate / Diploma in a food related discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Previous experience in internal audit procedures is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key specification systems.
  • Understanding of HACCP and TACCP systems, with the ability to conduct audits.
  • Experience with certification and regulatory compliance audits is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude towards personal and professional development within the organisation.
