Job Summary:
- Quality Technicians will assist in reviewing and analysing data to determine manufacturing issues and trends, and will develop and implement process improvements to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
- Manufacturing Technicians will be responsible for performing equipment setup and maintenance, and for installing and validating equipment and processes to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
As a Quality Technician or Manufacturing Technician at Abbott, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced professionals. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a variety of areas, including quality systems, manufacturing processes, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Technicians:
- Review and analyse data to determine manufacturing issues and trends.
- Develop and implement process improvements to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
- Assist in the design, development, evaluation or modification of equipment, materials, systems, and/or product.
- Manufacturing Technicians:
- Perform equipment setup and maintenance.
- Install and validate equipment and processes to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
- Conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
Requirements:
- Quality Technicians:
- National Framework of Qualifications level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline and 4+ years of related work experience.
- Extensive knowledge of advanced technical concepts and practices.
- Ability to apply knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
- Manufacturing Technicians:
- National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Relevant work experience advantageous but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of technical concepts and practices.
