Introduction We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable specialist subcontractor based in Tullamore. Working on a range of high-quality, niche projects, youll have the opportunity to contribute to the financial and commercial success of unique and complex builds. This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with a background in subcontracting who is ready to take on a hands-on role with a focus on detail, efficiency, and cost control. Responsibilities In this position, you will be responsible for: Managing project costs from initial estimation to final account settlement. Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for projects to ensure alignment with cost targets. Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier packages, ensuring value and compliance. Managing variations, claims, and change orders with accuracy and timeliness. Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and provide detailed cost reporting. Preparing and submitting monthly valuations and invoices to clients. Working closely with project managers and site teams to support efficient project delivery. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to enhance collaboration. Requirements To excel in this role, you should have: A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics. 3-5 years of experience working with a subcontractor or in a similar environment. Strong understanding of Irish construction practices, particularly within a concrete specialist subcontractor. Proficiency in cost management software, such as Cubit, Buildsoft, or similar. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Solid negotiation, communication, and organizational abilities. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team. Full driving licence and flexibility to visit project sites as required. Package Salary: €50,000 - €60,000, based on experience. Performance-based bonus. Travel allowance or mileage reimbursement.
