Job Description
Quantity Surveyor sought for a Main Contractor in Mayo, with 4+ years experience, to manage construction projects and ensure costs are kept within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tendering for jobs and compiling bills of quantities
- Forward ordering project materials and managing contracts
- Monitoring work quality, resolving site issues, and preparing weekly reports on job progress
- Preparing and submitting claims for variations, valuations, and final accounts
- Managing payments to sub-contractors and chasing outstanding moneys
- Preparing weekly reports on job costing, payments received, and overdue accounts
Necessary Skills and Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- 3rd level Qualification in Quantity Surveying / Construction economics
- A proven track record of quantity surveying and strong operational skills
- Good presentation skills, strong written communication abilities, and strong customer focus skills
- Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills, analytical thinker, and problem-solver
- Ability to work in a team or on own initiative, perform multiple tasks at a high level of quality, and work well under pressure
