Key responsibilities:
Prepare cost analysis based on architectural drawings, engineering estimates, and labour involved
Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects
Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors, and negotiate with the contractors as necessary
Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure
Monitor and track project progress, and be responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract
Develop and maintain relationships with client representatives to support company activities and maintain positive relations
Represent the company at site meetings and other relevant events
Ideal candidate profile:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a relevant subject
Minimum 5 years of professional experience with a proven track record
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good financial and numeracy management skills
Excellent communication and negotiating skills
Clear understanding of building regulations and guidelines
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and drive to succeed
