ROLE PROFILE:
The Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in supporting the project team by providing commercial expertise and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through contract placement and control.
- Assess and mitigate commercial risks, implementing company policies on risk management.
- Support the authorization and submission of project variations.
- Authorize contract placement, subcontracting, material, and plant orders.
- Maximize cash flow through work control, measurement, valuation, and customer invoicing.
- Promote company health and safety policies and risk management.
- Exceed customer expectations by promoting company values.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Quantity Surveying experience in Trenching & Ducting, Substation, and Overhead Lines.
- Commercial management and procurement of subcontractors.
- Monthly reporting and earned value analysis expertise.
- Ability to challenge resources and costs.
- Negotiation skills for project cost management.
- Teamwork and independent work capabilities.
- Knowledge of product and contract conditions, construction law, and IT skills.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
- Recognized Commercial or Quantity Surveying degree (or equivalent).
- Safe Pass certification.
- Full and valid clean Driver's License.
- Manual Handling training.
