Quantity Surveyor Data Center Sector - CSA , Mechanical and Electrical positions available Very much a new opportunity!! Our client is a large European Construction Group consisting of multiple integrated group companies involved in the turnkey delivery of Data Centres throughout Europe with further expansion into the US and the Middle East planned in the short term. They have recently opened a Dublin Office and where they intend to base several specialist departments within the group including their Bid Management and Tendering function. There offices will be based in the Docklands in the heart of the city. They are currently seeking quantity surveyors with experience in DC tendering and pricing to join their team in their new office. They intend to employ the best in the business and will remunerate accordingly. General Duties: Preparing estimates & pre-construction budgets based on drawings and specifications Manage quantities and prepare pricing documents Obtain pricing for elements of the building from Irish and European subcontractors and suppliers Assist in the maintaining of the cost data base & regional metrics Review tender documentation to develop scope gaps between quotations Assist with compiling complete bids in line with the tender deliverables & instructions to tenders. Collaborate with the Mechanical, Electrical, CSA Estimating and bid management colleagues to produce a comprehensive and cohesive bid within the tender deadlines Keep informed with developments in the construction industry & industry bodies Participate in the development of procedures to ensure a high standard of quality control in the documents produced. Co-operate with the application of quality assurance procedures Engage in personal development planning and performance review procedures, as required Ensure confidentiality is maintained with respect to all information obtained. Requirements A Quantity Surveying or Estimating background DC experience either contractor or Client side , either Electrical, Mechanical or CSA bias.
