Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to drive technical excellence and contribute to the strategic handling of property claims within a dynamic team.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in analysing repair/reinstatement costs, negotiating costs/contracts/schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards. Your expertise will also be utilised to calculate quantities and costs for materials, labour, and timeframes, as well as preparing tender packages including bills of quantities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive technical excellence through effective identification and scoping of work.
  • Analyse repair/reinstatement costs and negotiate costs/contracts/schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
  • Calculate quantities and costs for materials, labour, and timeframes.
  • Prepare tender packages including bills of quantities.
  • Manage risk, value engineer, and cost control measures.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate proposed projects.

Requirements:

  • Insurance qualification (APA/CIP) desirable but not essential, as appropriate training can be provided.
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong maths, numerical, and data analysis skills.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Understanding of engineering and construction principles.
  • Knowledge of market rates/trends.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • A high degree of flexibility and self-motivation.
