Deloitte is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join its tax team.
**Job Summary:** Deloitte is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work within a specialist service line called tax depreciation, led by Chartered Quantity Surveyors and part of the firm's tax department.
The successful candidate will be working on a highly rewarding role, advising construction and accounting personnel teams on the optimum strategy for collating and recording expenditure to ensure capital allowances are maximised and support a robust claim.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Advise construction and accounting personnel teams on the optimum strategy for collating and recording expenditure to ensure capital allowances are maximised and support a robust claim.
- Review legal documentation and tax legislation to ensure the taxpayer is entitled to claim capital allowances.
- Produce high-level estimates of potential capital allowances available, outlining appropriate assumptions and caveats.
- Develop excellent business development skills and build up client relationships to gain an understanding of their business and particular requirements.
- Provide advice within the department and externally to clients on tax technical matters relating to capital allowances legislation.
- Advise clients on how to structure third-party contributions in a tax-efficient manner.
- Deal with Revenue on queries relating to capital allowances and related matters.
**Requirements:**
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Flexible approach and committed team player.
- Willingness to learn and progress.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
