Job Description

Quantity Surveyor (Transmission) required for a major transmission system developer based in Ireland Responsibilities Leading the cost management function throughout all project stages. Processing of Contractor payments and assisting in Contract Administration. Preparation of Framework Tender documents (which includes liaising closely with client Networks Procurement function). Co-ordinating Contractor Pre-qualification evaluations. Undertaking Commercial site audits. Carrying out analysis on historic projects and preparing cost estimates. Forecasting and monitoring of OPEX & CAPEX programs.Requirements Self-motivation and ability to project manage own work and to work well within a team environment. Ability to work and share knowledge and competencies within a team structure. Ability to make quality decisions and judgments. Effective time management. Demonstrate a logical, yet imaginative approach to problem solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible in all aspects of the role, including travel nationally. Knowledge of the administration of Construction Contracts eg. FIDIC Conditions of Contract (Red and Yellow books). Chartered status in a recognised professional institution. The successful candidate will possess the following experience/qualifications: Level 8 Degree in Quantity Surveying. Full Drivers licence and access to car is essential. 5-7 years post qualification experience. Experience in Civil Engineering / Utility projects. Experience with SAP and experience in SharePoint. Advanced Excel skills and familiarisation with VBA Macros
