In an age of mass production and expendability, the excellence of Irish stone endures. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all relevant HSA legislation. Ensure compliance with Company health and safety systems / standards and best practices. Ensure that all work undertaken in the quarry is risk assessed and safe. Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported, and fully investigated and corrective action taken as necessary. Ensuring that the quarry operates in the scope of any planning conditions. Supervision of General Operatives within the quarry. Labelling of blocks for Production. Quality control and stock control of blocks. Provide support to the Quarries Manager. Conscious of quarry cost management. Key Requirements Experience in Quarry operations, and mobile heavy plant operations. Good people management skills to lead, guide and motivate quarry General Operatives Awareness of cost control and operation efficiencies Strong knowledge, experience and application of Health and Safety practices.
