Job Description

R&D Electrical/Electronics Engineer Our client, a leading company based in Swords, is seeking a skilled R&D Electrical/Electronics Engineer with a proven track record in the design and development of electrical and electronic solutions for complex instruments and analysers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a pioneering team at the forefront of R&D in laboratory instrumentation This role requires expertise in integrating sensors, power devices, transducers, motion control systems, thermoelectric devices, and microcontrollers into real-time systems. As a key member of a dynamic multidisciplinary R&D network, you will work collaboratively across various engineering functionsincluding Artificial Intelligence, Software, Mechanical, Firmware, System Integration, and Biochemistryto deliver innovative product solutions efficiently. Critical Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience in designing and developing electrical/electronic solutions in a regulated environment. Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, including transducer integration. Proficiency in using design software (e.g., Mentor Graphics, Eagle, Altium, Proteus, OrCAD). Knowledge of microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex) and programming (C, C++). Familiarity with power electronics and control systems engineering. Experience with Low Voltage & Machinery Directives and relevant standards. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a relevant technical discipline (Electronics, Software, Electrical, Mechatronics). Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience within a high-performing R&D team.
