Job Description
Process Development Engineer: Develop innovative metal processing technologies and solutions for medical devices.
Liaise with Design Engineers, Project Leaders, and Operations Team members to understand requirements and inputs. Investigate and develop technologies to ensure process design is robust and reproducible. Specialize in Centerless Grinding and Wire Coiling to generate wire profiles and features that meet product design and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and inputs
- Investigate and develop technologies to ensure process design is robust and reproducible
- Specialize in Centerless Grinding and Wire Coiling to generate wire profiles and features
- Ensure Design for Manufacturability, capacity, and product cost impacts are considered
- Plan and execute risk assessment, process specification/test methods development, and Process Qualifications
- Generate and maintain required Engineering and Design documentation
- Provide guidance to Junior Engineers and Technicians
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or related technical field
- At least 5 years previous related experience
- Excellent knowledge of centerless grinding and wire coiling
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving abilities
- Good working knowledge of medical device materials and processes
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
