Senior Engineer - Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Process Development

This role involves designing, developing, and evaluating mechanical and electro-mechanical processes and/or equipment to drive innovation and meet strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved products or processes to meet strategic goals and objectives.
  • Research, develop, design, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical processes and/or equipment.
  • Analyze and solve complex problems using advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Prepare reports, publish, and present findings to communicate technical information.
  • Apply DMAIC tools to characterize, optimize, and troubleshoot process equipment and technology performance.
  • Introduce new processes, equipment, and materials, and develop associated documentation requirements.
  • Demonstrate advanced technical expertise on process/product technologies to support design, optimization, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Apply knowledge of processes and equipment validation techniques, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
  • Develop and support junior engineers in writing and releasing process validation documentation.
  • Cultivate an internal and external network of resources to complete tasks.
  • Lead small project teams, determine goals and objectives, and interact with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Provide engineering or scientific interpretations and advice on significant matters.

Requirements

  • Hons BSc degree in Engineering or Science discipline; MSc is advantageous.
  • 3+ years experience in a similar position.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like laser welding, adhesive bonding, and leak testing.
  • Experience with working with Laser Systems & Laser materials processing (Welding, Marking, Cutting, etc.).
  • Knowledge in CNC code or CAD/CAM.
  • Experience with electronic implantable devices.
