A snapshot of your peer group:

  • This role would suit a masters graduate from a Computer science, Software Development or Software Engineering discipline, with a minimum of 10 years experiencing working in a fast paced, consulting environment, who has strong writing and communication skills, who can utilise their technical knowledge to assist companies with the preparation of the scientific/technical aspects of R&D tax credit claims.
  • Experience of developing and executing business development strategies, managing resources, with deep practical experience of consistently delivering projects to a high quality, on time, and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence team members, clients and other stakeholders. This includes the ability to speak in front of an audience, excellent professional influencing skills and demonstrable ability to manage groups of diverse stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Ability to analyse a situation and determine the best course of action.
  • Capable of being responsible for multiple projects at once. This means you will need to be comfortable multitasking and managing conflicting requirements.
  • You will also be responsible for overseeing the work of other team members and need to have proven skills in managing and developing a high performing team.
  • Ability to understand and meet the needs of clients, requiring excellent influencing skills.
  • Reporting directly at Partner level.

  • Manage a team of technical consultants to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs in the R&D tax credit space.
  • Take responsibility for our client deliverables, which substantiates and supports the R&D tax credits claimed by our clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with the R&D tax credit related services provided.
  • Lead business development activities, including proposal writing, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Monitor progress on projects and provide regular updates to senior management within our clients.
  • Identify real opportunities for improvement in processes and procedures within the R&D Incentives Practice.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and senior staff members within the R&D Incentives Practice.
  • Analyse data and develop insights to inform decision making.
  • Create and present reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to stay abreast of trends and best practices.

Since 2004 our R&D incentives practice has been a market leader in this specialist area. We work with multinational and indigenous companies in the electronics, life sciences, ICT, manufacturing sectors) and assist them to claim Research and development incentives (mainly the R&D tax credit) for their investment in R&D activities in Ireland.

Our team is comprised of people with a variety of backgrounds including science, engineering, computer science, tax and finance. We work together to use our multidisciplinary skills to achieve the best for our clients. This role will be responsible for managing members of the software engineering technical team.
