A Regional Media Specialist is sought to lead the implementation of a communications strategy at a regional level for a National Utility Company.
Cpl Marketing are working with a National Utility Company who are recruiting for an ambitious and innovative Regional Media Specialist on a permanent contract based in Dublin City centre.
The Regional Media Specialist will play a lead part in helping to enhance brand reputation through all of its external communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver on the delivery of regional media strategy as part of the overall PR Strategy.
- Identify and deliver on paid-for media opportunities in regional media – print, online and broadcast.
- Seek opportunities and develop and deliver effective stories, campaigns and content, successfully communicating technical subject matter to non-technical audiences.
- Assist Head of PR in developing methodologies and processes to ensure consistency of approach.
- Work closely with the wider PR team to amplify press content on social and digital media and with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Attend events across the country, as required, to support with communications and media.
Requirements
- 3+ years' media/press office experience with demonstrable delivery of targets.
- Experience within the following areas; journalism, media relations, corporate communications, public relations or public information campaigns.
- A relevant third level qualification in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related discipline.
- Proven track record in co-ordinating the work of others securing delivery against key targets and objectives.
- Excellent communications (oral and written) and presenting skills.
- Ability to work extended hours as required and capability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- A positive, flexible, and ambitious team player.
- Experience in a utility, engineering, energy, semi-state or public sector environment is desirable.
