Job Description

Regional Quality Control Lead sought to lead program consistency and provide specialist support in regions and business units.

Kirby Group Engineering, an international multi-disciplinary engineering services contractor, is seeking a Regional Quality Control Lead to join their team.

As a Regional Quality Control Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading by example in ethics, EHS, cultural sensitivity, diversity, teamwork, quality culture and behaviors.
  • Complying with all Project EHS requirements, including PPE, work Permits, procedures, etc.
  • Supporting the development of project specific method statements.
  • Establishing close working relationships with cross functional departments, including supply chain and client stakeholders.
  • Familiarizing with Quality contract requirements, deliverables, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Supporting project pre-construction phase with Quality planning, resources, supply chain review and onboarding.
  • Reviewing requirements for registration with regulatory authorities and supply chain registration status.
  • Providing technical advice and support with respect to local, municipality, national and/or European regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing construction methodology for offsite manufacturing (OSM) capabilities and developing inspection matrix for offsite and onsite inspections.
  • Reviewing requirements for specialist 3rd party inspections and developing a schedule of inspections to verify project compliance.
  • Understanding all required Kirby Management System documentation (Processes and Procedures) ensuring that all project team members are conversant with their purpose and intent.
  • Completing incremental Internal Audits to verify implementation of the QMS and the Quality Plan.
  • Providing support and guidance with implementation of the Quality & LEAN Construction Policy.
  • Developing training needs analysis matrix (TNA) to identify quality training requirements for scope of work ensuring trained and competent personnel are conducting works.
  • Building a core QC team and network to consistently support high quality performance on site.
  • Conducting interviews for open QC positions within the business and supporting mobilization in line with project dates.
  • Liaising and supporting operation managers / project managers to ensure adequate QC operational coverage to support projects turnover, start-up and room ready dates in line with schedule dates.
  • Managing the overall performance of project quality team, setting clear and measurable objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Supporting project QC team with training and development needs to promote growth within the business unit.
  • Monitoring KPI (Key Performance Indicators) on planned vs actual, checklist completion, issues / snags, room readiness and system/area handover.
  • Measuring supply chain performance showing positive trends and areas for opportunity to improve.
  • Reviewing project Quality plans and Inspection and Test plans to ensure project compliance.
  • Continuously monitoring the effectiveness of the quality program and supporting improvement as required.
  • Being proactive in identifying areas of improvement and creating suitable action plans to improve project performance (Snags, Checklists, Supply chain, Trends, Risk, etc.).
  • Establishing a reward & recognition program to celebrate wins, achievements, success.
  • Encouraging engagement in capturing Lessons Learned on the project.
  • Providing weekly & monthly reports on Quality Control Program performance.

Desired competencies:

  • Willingness to travel.
  • Data Centre experience preferred.
  • Preferable from a trade's background / trades experience.
