Job Description
The successful candidate will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing a patient-centered quality and seamless service. The post holder will be required to work as a member of the multidisciplinary team in providing and developing an efficient and effective Occupational Health Service for all Hospital personnel.
- Be a Registered Nurse/Midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Have a minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made
- Have a minimum of 1 year's experience in specialist area of Occupational Health care
- Have successfully completed a post-registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider, relevant to the specialist area of care
- Be required to demonstrate continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the specialist area
- Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her/their professional responsibility within his/her/their scope of practice
The successful applicant should demonstrate skills including excellent keyboard skills, experience in teaching and assessing junior staff/nursing students, experience in carrying out audits, and desired skills such as Nurse Prescribing Registration or agreement to undertake within an agreed timeframe.
The post holder will be responsible for managing and enhancing existing services, identifying and implementing new initiatives to optimise staff wellbeing and an overall quality service.

Desired skills include Nurse Prescribing Registration or agreement to undertake within an agreed timeframe, and working knowledge of healthcare patient record systems.
