PE Global Healthcare are delighted to assist their client, a leading care provider in Sligo, to recruit for a Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability for their service on a 6 month contract. Role The Registered Nurse ideally specialising in Intellectual Disabilities will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive healthcare services to individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role includes conducting assessments, developing care plans, administering medications, and promoting the overall health and well-being of the patients. The contract is for 6 months initially but could have potential to be permanent role. Location: Collooney Sligo Role and Responsibilities: Patient Care & Assessment- monitor patient conditions and document observations accurately, administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans. Support the development of life skills in patients, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and general well-being. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients. Prior experience in working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred. Have a clear understanding of HSE and HIQA governance. Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individuals community. Communicate and liaise with the multidisciplinary team. Essential Requirements : Be a registered Nurse with an active pin. Candidates are required to have excellent people skills in addition to the ability to work independently and manage your own time.
