Registered Nurse - Sandyford, Dublin 18 Ref: S011563 Salary: €37-€43k per annum Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. 8-hour shifts Monday Friday with 1-2 Saturdays per month. Saturdays are rotated and time in lieu is given for Saturdays worked. The Clinic is closed on Bank Holidays. Our client is a busy private ophthalmic clinic and surgical centre in South Dublin. Applicant Requirements: Active NMBI registration (RGN) Excellent communication skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent clinical skills Strong service ethic Preferred experience: Ophthalmic experience is an advantage though not essential Duties and Responsibilities: This role is largely based around scrubbing for surgical procedures Theatre Scrubbing for laser eye surgery procedures performed in the dedicated theatre at the clinic Management of patients on the day of surgery (consent discussion, medication management, counselling on postoperative instructions, completion of slit lamp examinations as part of discharging patients) Assist the Surgeon in theatre for cataract and lens procedures. Assist with the documentation of procedures Clinical Working as part of the Nursing/ Technician team to perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing on patients as part of clinical work ups for consultations at the Clinic. Working as part of the Nursing/ Technician team to complete virtual consultations with patients to capture motivations for surgery, medical history, visual needs etc prior to their consultation with the Surgeon.
