Energy Regulatory Consultant Location: North Co. Dublin / On site and hybrid Our client has been providing energy services on the Island of Ireland for over fifteen years. The company assists independent generators of all sizes, maximise revenues and protect their business model. Their expertise lies in the commercial side of energy production, the company offer all services required in the trading of the electricity produced by renewable generators. The company engages in a number of areas, including: Energy Trading; Environmental Commodities; and Consultancy The consultancy arm is a key part of the business, our clients currently include most of the supply businesses in Ireland along with a number of large funds, banks, producers and a diverse range of generation.The team provides support across a wide scope, including Green Verification, Biomethane, Route to Market and the Capacity Market. The Role Our client is seeking to recruit a candidate to work as a junior consultant in the company.This will entail providing support for the Verification, Market Services and Advisory areas.The role will involve the following: Working with the Renewables Manager to support the green verification function by liaising with suppliers and validating that they have the appropriate Guarantees of Origin for their demand; Supporting the business in the provision of advice to clients across a wide range of areas in the Irish Electricity Markets and in the development of greening opportunities for clients. Maintain a high familiarity with regulatory changes in the electricity markets and help to produce Monthly Regulatory Reports. Clarify market changes to our range of clients. Provide regulatory assistance to clients looking to enter the market or to extend their current position in the market. Provide support in the Capacity Market. Working as part of the consultancy team to identify business opportunities; Skills & Education required Primary Degree in a related field (economics, energy, finance, mathematics) Minimum two years experience in a related role Good judgement and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet and manage strict deadlines Flexible and adaptable to learning and taking on new tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Excellent Microsoft Office skills Knowledge of the Irish Energy Market is ESSENTIAL Desired Experience in a regulatory environment Knowledge of biogas development Experience in drafting reports Experience of innovation Commercial acumen If this is something you would be interested in please send your CV in confidence to Skills: Regulation Compliance Data
