Job Description

As a Regulatory Leader, working as part of a regulatory team, you will play a key role in ensuring that AHBs meet the established Standards in governance, financial management, property management and tenancy management. You will be involved in varied tasks working to tight deadlines in a dynamic regulatory environment including assessment, regulatory oversight, information and data management, risk evaluation, financial analysis and report writing. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include: Performance of regulatory assessments and evaluation of evidence submitted by AHBs Reporting of findings and recommendations following assessment and evaluation against the Standards for AHBs. Reporting, analysing and consolidating key information and data received from AHBs. Performance of quality assurance reviews regarding assessments and compliance programmes including evaluating and monitoring compliance plans submitted by AHBs to address any identified non-compliance with the Standards, ensuring that the measures outlined are adequate and effectively implemented. Contributing to the development of risk evaluation. Delivery of information and learnings to the AHB sector. Management of stakeholder relationships, including participation in meetings with AHBs. Tailoring, developing and publishing key policy and procedures documentation Preparing progress reports and presentations, including quarterly progress reports to the senior management team. Contributing to the development of staff within the regulatory teams. And any other duties as directed from time to time. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Candidates must meet the following essential requirements prior to their appointment: possess a degree (Level 8 of NFQ) or a minimum of three years of relevant equivalent experience in at least two of the following areas: regulation, audit, governance, risk and compliance. Candidates must have unconditional authorisation to live and work in Ireland. DESIRABLE CRITERIA Prior experience in all areas is not required and training will be provided. The following criteria are desirable and not essential: Risk assessment skills Knowledge of regulatory framework and compliance processes A broad knowledge and understanding of regulatory programmes A broad understanding of the housing sector in Ireland Experience of communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
