Reinsurance Technical Accounting Analyst We are seeking a detail orientated and analytical individual to join our team. The successful candidate will work as a member of the reinsurance accounting team, responsible for processing reinsurance contracts, analyzing data and ensuring accuracy in reinsurance. To work closely with the Financial Reporting, Investments, Technology and Compliance team in working towards the teams key deliverables. The Role: Management of Cashflows - insurance premium /receipts and claims payments. Preparation of balance reconciliations. Liaising with cedants to arrange timely receipt of insurance statements/bordereau/statements of account. Reviewing and processing quarterly insurance contract data including premium, claims, commission and reserves. Updating and monitoring claims remittance reconciliation report. Ensure that Internal Controls are followed and maintaining accounts files for Internal documents for Internal and external Audit. Analysing the results and preparing commentaries for reporting to Chief Underwriter. Preparing and delivering quarterly underwriting accounting results. Analysis of all reinsurance contracts for Board Reports for senior management. Main point of contact relating to re/insurance contract acceptance for all business providers. Coordination of all new and renewal contracts, liaising with business partners and senior management. Review of all re/insurance contract documentation including the terms and conditions and risk transfer analysis. Skills and Expertise: A minimum of 3 years technical accounting experience required, with broad knowledge of accounting practices and procedures. Knowledge of re/insurance business highly desirable Bachelors degree in business, finance, or related field Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential for success in this role.
