Reliability Engineer sought to drive improved line performance and enhanced maintenance effectiveness at a Ballina site.
The role will be responsible for assessing reoccurring breakdowns and implementing solutions to eliminate root causes, leveraging HPS tools to achieve high-performing equipment.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the maintenance team and utilise existing expertise to drive site capability on reliability engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilizing line performance data to identify trends and causes of equipment failures.
- Developing solutions to address root causes and working with relevant functions to ensure timely implementation.
- Utilising external maintenance benchmarks to develop an understanding of site strengths and weaknesses.
- Working with maintenance management to devise a strategy to address gaps.
- Acting as a coach/mentor to enhance site capability on reliability engineering and its impact on site performance.
- Assessing site maintenance costs to identify sources of financial waste and developing solutions to reduce costs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' work experience in Reliability Engineering.
- Technical skills and experience in Reliability Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Specialised skills/technical knowledge:
- Lean Manufacturing & six sigma methodology (e.g. Hollister Production System).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with multiple functions and stakeholders to derive viable solutions.
- Innovative thinking and ability to propose, demonstrate and implement new solutions.
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
