Job Description

Reliability Engineer sought for a multinational biopharmaceutical client in Tipperary for an 11-month contract. The role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.

Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join their team in Tipperary. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.

The Reliability Engineer will work closely with colleagues within the Engineering CoE, Maintenance, IPT, Projects, and relevant departments to develop and maintain SOPs for compliance in the Engineering Department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing the PPM system, including writing job plans and assigning maintenance frequencies (SAP & Procal)
  • Developing and maintaining SOPs for compliance in the Engineering Department
  • Supporting the implementation of maintenance best practice methodologies/technologies, including LSS processes
  • Leading equipment criticality assessments and developing new maintenance strategies/plans for new assets
  • Developing a multi-year Reliability roadmap and executing it with close collaboration/partnership with key cross-functional stakeholders
  • Leading technical Root Cause Analysis events and incident investigations related to manufacturing equipment/systems

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering or Technical discipline, or a trade/3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline with relevant experience working in a similar environment. Key requirements include:

  • 3 years or more experience working in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing GMP with a strong compliance mindset
  • Knowledge of GMP / EHS guidelines & Legislation, Plant Maintenance systems (e.g. SAP / Procal)
  • Experience/proficiency in document management systems and office applications
  • Knowledge and experience of CMMS systems, ideally SAP & Procal
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools and reliability methodologies
