Odyssey Social Care are seeking energetic Relief Social Care Workers to join our residential care team based in our units in Co. Laois. In your role you will act as the support and care worker to young people in the house, working towards achieving better outcomes for young people every day.

Our home in Laois specialises in caring for up to 2 young people from aged 12 upwards. Our dedicated, energetic Team who strive to create a home from home for all our Young People. We are looking for enthusiastic new talent to join our Odyssey Social Care Team.

What you bring:

A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant and or related Qualification *Relevant alternative qualifications include:

  • Social work
  • Psychology (Level 8)
  • Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy
  • Counselling / Psychotherapy
  • Addiction Counselling
  • Youth & Community
  • Social Science
  • Family Support
  • Teaching (Not TEFL)
  • Nursing Studies
  • Disability Studies
  • Applied Behavioural Analysis
  • Early Years Care where centre caters for children under 12 years.
  • Applied Policing
  • Higher Certificate in Custodial Care (Irish Prison) or Equivalent
  • A full manual driving licence
  • An ability to work with young people
  • A passion and commitment to make a difference in young person's life
  • A commitment to continuous improvement
  • A willingness to be a positive role model as part of a care team
