Job Description

Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a Reports Engineer to join their Healthcare Transformation Program. The duration of this post is 11 months initially with likely extensions thereafter. The role will be based fully onsite in Dublin 9. Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €30.17 per hour based on an annualised salary of €55,093. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays. Role Overview As a Reports Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports that provide valuable insights into healthcare data and support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, reporting tools, and healthcare domain knowledge. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and design meaningful and visually appealing reports. Develop reports using reporting tools (e.g., SQL, DiDiver, Power BI) to present healthcare data in an easily understandable format. Design data models and create database queries to extract and manipulate data for report generation. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data in reports through rigorous data validation and testing. Translate complex data sets into actionable reports and visualisations that effectively communicate key findings to stakeholders. Optimise report queries and data models for improved performance and efficiency. Monitor and analyse report performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing necessary improvements. Maintain report libraries and ensure the timely delivery of accurate reports to stakeholders. Develop user guides and reference materials to enhance end-user understanding and adoption of reports. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Reports Engineer or similar role, preferably in the healthcare industry. Strong knowledge of reporting tools, such as SQL, DiDiver, Power BI, or similar. Proficiency in database querying and data manipulation using SQL. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex healthcare data and generate meaningful insights. Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality reports within designated timelines. Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, healthcare informatics, or a related field.
