Applications are invited for the following Post in the Technological University Dublin: Competition ID 035343 Post: Research Assistant B in Psychology/Organisational behaviour/Social science - School of Food Science and Environmental Heath (Fixed Term Specified Purpose Contract for up to 18 months) Reference: 337/2024 Location:The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Grangegorman (Parkhouse), Blanchardstown or Tallaght. Hours of Work:A 37 hour working week is in operation. Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Research Assistant B Salary Scale i.e. €35,356 gross per annum. Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Incremental credit may apply in line with University policy. Closing Date: Tuesday 29th October 2024 at 5.00 p.m. (Irish time). Late applications will not be accepted. (Hons) (NFQ level 8) in Psychology/Organisational behaviour/Social science/Human resource management (or similar) or equivalent award by an approved degree-awarding authority. (Essential) At least 2 years wholetime equivalent research experience in the public or private Sectors (Essential) Ability to take initiative and work independently.(Essential) The successful candidate should have appropriate report writing skills, basic statistics and possess computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).(Essential) Candidates will be shortlisted based on their demonstration of meeting every essential criterion so are asked to clearly outline how their experience and qualifications meet the criteria. Desirable Masters in psychology/organisational behaviour/human resource management (MFQ Level 9) or related area.(Desirable) Evidence of familiarity with the subject matter and willingness to be/remain contemporaneous with the subject matter. (Desirable) Research experience using quantitative/experimental research designs (Desirable) Experience in analysing quantitative data using SPSS, R or Mplus (or similar)(Desirable) Candidates may be shortlisted on the basis of none, one or more of these desirable criteria and are asked to clearly outline how their experience and qualifications meet the criteria.
