Job Description
Resident Engineer (Electrical) sought for North-West region of Ireland to work on capital projects in water and wastewater sectors.
We are seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer (Electrical) with 7+ years of relevant experience in Site Supervision activities to be based out within North-West region of Ireland. The successful candidate will be seconded into a client office/site to work on a number of capital projects in the water and wastewater sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Specialising in Electrical elements of the works
- Driving delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann with a particular focus on health & safety, time for delivery, cost management and ensuring that the project is constructed to the specified quality standard
- Ensuring that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (works requirements)
- Monitoring and reporting on works being carried out to the Employer's Requirements
- Implementing Uisce Éireann safety policies and standards on the construction projects
- Reviewing and commenting on project/site specific HSQE documentation eg RAMS, TMP etc.
- Monitoring compliance with contract health and safety requirements and contractor's Proposals
- Carrying out weekly documented health and safety site reviews, follow up and confirm satisfactory close out of health and safety issues
- Ensuring that any accident or incident on site, no matter how minor, is reported to Uisce Éireann and actively assist with the accident investigation and implementation of corrective and preventative actions
- Actively participating in Uisce Éireann HSQE team monthly inspections and confirming satisfactory close out of any issues identified
