Job Description

Seeking a Store Manager to lead a team in a Carlow store, driving sales and revenues, and building strong relationships with the local community.

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for a team of staff, volunteers, and social activation scheme employees. Your key objectives will be to:

  • Meet and exceed ongoing retail store sales targets.
  • Ensure all visual merchandising standards are attractive and in line with weekly changes.
  • Recruit and develop staff to enhance a positive collegial atmosphere with a focus on customer service.
  • Ensure adequate staffing cover at all times to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ensure all goods offered for sale are of excellent quality and the store is kept clean and professional in appearance.
  • Manage shop accounting procedures, including banking, till receipts, and cash handling.
  • Take responsibility for inventory and security of all equipment and fittings.
  • Lead and support on-going store and community-based fundraising events.
  • Promote the Vision Ireland brand through local channels.
  • Ensure all health and safety obligations are met, including training and maintenance of safety equipment.
