Trade counter assistant - Boyle Roscommon Our client, a well-known successful Building Merchant, DIY and Home retail store is seeking to recruit an experienced Trade Counter Assistant for their busy store. This is a great job opportunity for an experienced sales assistant with building trade experience and knowledge. Experience in general building, Plumbing and Electrical are all considered. As part of a large building merchant group, this is a great retail industry to be in and to grow further with your knowledge and experience. Key Requirements: Previous sales experience working across any of the building trade disciplines - general building, plumbing or electrical or similar. Retail sales experience essential with excellent communications skills Strong understanding of the building trade Excellent skills in building relationship skills. IT literacy, with experience in POS systems and Microsoft Office. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues, understanding and exceeding customer expectations. Provide expert advice on the best solutions for customer needs. Maximize sales opportunities through your knowledge of the trade Ensure compliance with sales and liaise with suppliers to meet customer expectations. Build strong relationships with your customers to ensure repeat custom Essential Competencies: A team player with excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Flexible and eager to learn. High attention to detail. Contract Details: Permanent, Full-time position. Hours: Monday to Friday (08:30 - 17:00), Saturday (08:30 - 15:00), Location: Boyle, Co. Roscommon.
