Retained Assignment: Senior Corporate Counsel, EMEA Our client is a hugely successful player (Plc) in the lifestyle and health drinks sector in the US. The have been operating in the US market for a number of years and in Europe for over 3 years. Due to ongoing plans to grow and expand the business globally, our client is now keen to appoint aSenior Corporate Counsel in Dublin. This individual will take responsibility for the EMEA regions and will work closely with and support the US legal team. The successful individual will manage legal support needs across EMEA, including in the areas of regulatory product compliance, advertising and marketing claims, commercial contracts, and general day-to-day operational support for the local teams. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a business as they set up their 'HQ2'in Ireland. This will be one of the first hires for the new entity in Ireland (additional hires have been made for other functions), so interested applicants must have an entrepreneurial mindsetand have the experience and maturity to work in a standalone role in Dublin. The opportunity to make your mark is immense, especially given the start up nature of the Dublin location (with the backing of successful Plc). The role has a broad scope and will allow you to flourish in a commercial environment. This will suit: Experienced Lawyers (min. 5 year pqe) from a similar in-house position or from a leading law firm Experience of the food and beverage regulatory landscape is a distinct advantage. Or experience from a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals Corporate Counsel interested in a role with a broad remit Key responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including: supply chain, independent contractor, sponsorships, influencer, and services agreements. Ensure that all contractual engagements align with the company's strategic goals and compliance requirements. Advising on brand positioning in the EMEA region from a legal perspective Provide legal advice on contract interpretation, risk assessment, and dispute resolution. Review and approve marketing materials to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compliant advertising strategies. Lead efforts to ensure regulatory compliance for product development and marketing within the EMEA region. Oversee compliance with health and food safety standards and supply chain regulations. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively address potential legal issues. It is expected that the regulatory element of this role will account for 20%-25% of the work, with the remainder concentrating on corporate law and commercial law issues.
