In particular, you will be responsible for Sales Orders, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, Sales Tax and ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) reporting functions. You will be required to perform all your duties in a timely manner with great attention to detail and be able to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment.If you enjoy numbers, working in a fast-paced environment and want to be a part of something big, this opportunity is for you.What you'll be doing:Review sales arrangements to ensure proper ARR classification and revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards.Perform Sales Order quality control and review transactions setup for revenue recognition. Work closely with Deal Desk to ensure proper backups and documentation are obtained.Manage the monthly revenue and A/R close process; record revenue related journal entries; complete revenue related account reconciliations.Oversee the A/R (Accounts Receivable) and collections functions including:customer master maintenance.triage customer communications in relation to collections.streamline collections processes and cash flow forecasting.bad debt management.Responsible for ARR reporting, including the following:Oversee recurring revenue and related ARR, including subscription revenue and renewals.Ensure accuracy and consistency of ARR by analyzing trends and providing insights and recommendations to management.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for ARR reporting.Work closely with Sales and RevOps to understand contracts and ensure proper treatment.Manage U.S. state sales tax calculations and filing utilizing Avalara.Participate in the year-end audit and tax preparations.Perform ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed.Optimize related billing, CRM systems and procedures to improve processes.Manage transformation of financial systems and processes between Revenue, Deal Desk, RevOps, Sales and A/R.What we're looking for:7+ years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience.3+ years of revenue recognition experience in the software industry, SaaS experience preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent license preferred.Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Advanced knowledge of ASC 606/IFRS 15.Advanced Excel skills and ability to extract and analyze large data sets.Proficiency with the following tools is highly preferred:NetSuite – ERP.Tesorio – collections and cash forecasting tools.Strong attention to detail and ability to research discrepancies to solve problems.Proven ability for clear and effective written / verbal communication.Strong project management skills and understanding of financial & operational controls.Ability to work independently, maintain tight deadlines, solve problems proactively.Ability to manage a team of two accountants responsible for day-to-day revenue accounting and collections processes.Why Nitro?Along with our regular benefits and programs (including health, dental, vision, and retirement as standard), we are also very proud to offer a few additional initiatives to future Nitronauts:Flex Time Off: Work-life balance is important at Nitro, and we understand that there are events that we cannot plan for.
