**Position Overview** We are seeking a full-time, permanent Staff Nurse to join our client, reporting directly to the Care Unit Manager. This role follows a 4-cycle roster and is dedicated to supporting our team in delivering the highest standards of person-centred care to our residents. Located in a small private care facility in South Dublin, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing care in accordance with professional and ethical guidelines. Your goal will be to provide holistic, person-centred care that fosters independence and enhances the quality of life for our residents. **What We Offer:** - Employee Assistance Programme - Competitive, negotiable salary - Career progression opportunities - Ongoing training and development (free of charge) - Free on-site parking **Ideal Candidate:** - NMBI Registered- MANDATORY - Experience in elderly care (preferred but not essential) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills **Key Responsibilities:** - Uphold and support our clients values, policies, and procedures, including new initiatives as required. - Maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability in your practice. - Follow ethical policies and procedures relevant to your area. - Supervise Health Care Assistants in delivering high-quality direct and indirect care. - Assist in enhancing care unit processes, identifying areas for improvement related to HIQA standards. - Support residents during activities, outings, and meal times. - Deliver effective holistic nursing care, assessing residents' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural needs. Collaborate with GPs, clinical staff, and other relevant professionals to provide comprehensive care. - Adhere to and promote the facility's infection control policies. - Follow the medication policy and ensure the safe handling and documentation of scheduled drugs. - Make sound nursing decisions regarding resident care and consult with the Clinical Nurse Manager when necessary. - Advocate for each resident's well-being. - Foster positive relationships with residents, staff, and the broader care team to ensure consistent delivery of person-centred care. - Respond quickly and efficiently in emergencies. - Communicate resident care updates to senior nursing management, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate with relevant medical and clinical staff. - Maintain a safe environment for residents, colleagues, and yourself, adhering to health and safety guidelines. - Perform nursing and non-nursing procedures in a professional and safe manner. - Ensure the care facility is well-maintained and adequately stocked with necessary supplies. - Report adverse events, including incidents, near misses, and medication errors, according to policy. - Ensure all equipment is safe for use and promptly report any malfunctions. - Respect the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of residents at all times. - Accurately document resident care and ensure care plans are regularly updated.
