**Risk & Compliance Manager** A highly skilled and experienced professional is sought to lead risk and compliance efforts in Europe, supporting businesses on a range of matters with a focus on Operations and the Marsh & Mercer Service Centres. **About the Role** We are seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Europe Legal & Compliance Team. This pivotal role will support the businesses on a range of risk and compliance matters in Europe, with a key focus on Operations and the Marsh & Mercer Service Centres. **Key Responsibilities** * Identify and assess key risks within the organization and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively * Maintain and update top risks and risk registers and develop meaningful MI to ensure accurate and up-to-date information and reporting to key stakeholders * Design and enhance controls to minimise risk exposure and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements * Provide guidance, support and advice to the business and operations teams on potential risks and a range of risk and compliance matters * Oversee outsourcing activities, ensuring strong governance and oversight to maintain the highest standards * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures * Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions * Promote and train the business/operations on the Three Lines of Defence ensuring ownership and a strong risk culture within the first line * Participate in, and contribute to, global and regional projects ensuring risk and compliance aspects are adequately considered * Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, industry best practices and internal requirements to ensure continued compliance **Requirements** * University Degree or recognised industry accreditation * Minimum 10 years experience in a senior Risk/Compliance role, ideally in the Insurance Industry * Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting the business * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Experience of writing and delivering training to multiple audiences * Highly motivated and enthusiastic * Strong team player, willing to step in and support the team as and when required * Self-starter with the ability to prioritise workload and to work under pressure * Commercial awareness **About Marsh & McLennan** Marsh & McLennan is the world's leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people.
