We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Europe Legal & Compliance Team. This is a pivotal role that will support the businesses on a range of risk and compliance matters in Europe with a key focus on Operations and the Marsh & Mercer Service Centres. In this role you will report to the Europe Chief Compliance Officer and will work closely with the Europe General Counsel and senior leaders throughout the organisation. What can you expect? Our employees enjoy excellent benefits such as: Competitive salary with annual review Up to 12% pension contribution Full healthcare cover Study Support Flexitime or flexistart Flexible working/work from home Sports & Social clubs/Wellness Programme Paid annual leave and ability to purchase additional leave days Travel ticket/bike to work/dental are optional Subsidised canteen We will rely on you to: Identify and assess key risks within the organization and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively Maintain and update top risks and risk registers and develop meaningful MI to ensure accurate and up-to-date information and reporting to key stakeholders including the Europe Risk Committee Design and enhance controls to minimise risk exposure and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements Provide guidance, support and advice to the business and operations teams on potential risks and a range of risk and compliance matters Oversee outsourcing activities, ensuring strong governance and oversight to maintain the highest standards Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Promote and train the business/operations on the Three Lines of Defence ensuring ownership and a strong risk culture within the first line Participate in, and contribute to, global and regional projects ensuring risk and compliance aspects are adequately considered Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, industry best practices and internal requirements to ensure continued compliance What you need to have: University Degree or recognised industry accreditation Minimum 10 years experience in a senior Risk/Compliance role, ideally in the Insurance Industry Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting the business e.g. IDD, AML, Privacy, DORA Capable of building strong stakeholder relationships across the company Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience of writing and delivering training to multiple audiences Highly motivated and enthusiastic Strong team player, willing to step in and support the team as and when required Self-starter with the ability to prioritise workload and to work under pressure Commercial awareness What makes you stand out: Experience providing advice on complex risk & compliance matters to senior management Project management experience Experience rolling out new policies and procedures Analytical skills including good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and experience analysing data and creating reports You will be supporting Marsh McLennans Marsh and Mercer Companies About MMC: Marsh & McLennan(NYSE: MMC) is the world's leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people.
