Job Description

Job Title: Risk & Compliance Officer Location: Dublin South Abrivia are currently recruiting a Risk & Compliance Officer on behalf of our client, a renowned Leasing Group, based in South Dublin. Reporting directly into the Head of Risk & Compliance, this role will play an important part in implementing and enhancing the risk and compliance framework. This role will be on a hybrid model of 3 days onsite after successful probation period and comes with a benefits package including pension, bonus and discounted private healthcare. Your Role: Collaborate with the Head of Compliance and Head of Risk to ensure the company has effective frameworks in place for identifying, monitoring, and reporting on all potential risks, including compliance risks. Assist the Head of Compliance in ensuring the company meets all local regulatory requirements and group guidelines across all aspects of risk and compliance. Provide support to the Head of Compliance in their role as Money Laundering Reporting Officer to ensure the company complies with AML/CFT regulations. Monitor new and emerging compliance regulations, conducting gap analyses and supporting the business in ensuring smooth adoption. Assist with the implementation of the annual risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan and Risk Monitoring Plan. Coordinate the completion of annual compliance and risk assessments. Support the delivery of compliance and risk training and awareness programmes. Build and maintain key relationships across the business to ensure all departments are informed of relevant internal and external regulations and control frameworks. Your Skills: A minimum of 3 years' experience in compliance and/or risk management within a financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Hold a third-level qualification, ACOI certification, or an equivalent risk-related qualification. Familiarity with retail credit and/or motor leasing products, along with a solid understanding of the Consumer Protection Code, would be highly beneficial. Strong technical expertise in risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in Ireland. Experience in AML/KYC and/or GDPR/Data Protection is advantageous. Previous involvement in the assessment and testing of internal controls. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
