Risk Management/ Business Continuity Planning Manager Position A senior professional to develop and implement comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure organisational resilience and compliance with relevant governance requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans to mitigate risks and ensure organisational resilience * Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of key processes, systems, and subject matter experts * Review and analyse ICT disaster recovery capabilities and identify potential threats and vulnerabilities * Create detailed plans to address issues and develop response plans for serious business disruptions * Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure effective execution of plans * Maintain thorough documentation of plans, procedures, and recovery strategies * Ensure compliance with relevant governance requirements and work towards ISO standards * Monitor and update BCP plans to reflect changes and emerging threats **Qualifications & Required Experience:** * Degree or 3rd level professional qualification (QQI Level 8 or higher in a relevant discipline) * Minimum four years of experience in a similar role at a large organisation, focusing on Business Continuity Planning and/or Risk Management * Understanding of corporate governance processes and assurance frameworks for regulatory compliance * Ability to prioritise workload and plan BCP strategy based on evaluation of priorities * Excellent analytic, numerical, administrative, and IT skills * Highly organised with strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication, report writing, and presentation skills * Familiarity with the culture and organisation of state agencies and operators * Experience in leading and managing projects **Preferred Skills:** * Risk management processes and mitigation plans * Business continuity planning and management * ICT disaster recovery capabilities * Corporate governance processes and assurance frameworks * Project management and leadership skills
