Job Description

We are seeking a civil engineer with experience in designing in-river civil engineering and hydraulic projects to join our team.

As a civil engineer at APEM, you will work on a variety of projects that have real-world tangible benefits to our rivers and watercourses across the UK. You will collaborate closely with our renowned aquatic and environmental scientists, embarking on challenging and fulfilling projects that make a significant impact on the aquatic environment and river habitats across the British Isles.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in a commercial consulting environment, including the engineering design of in-river projects.
  • Application of the CDM regulations including actively identifying and mitigating risks during design.
  • Ability to produce and review tenders/proposals that demonstrate cost-effective quality and expertise.
  • Hold a relevant BEng or MEng degree.
  • Hold chartered engineer status with ICE or CIWEM, or be working towards achieving this.
