Job Description

Nua Healthcare Services (Nua) is one of Irelands leading Private Healthcare Providers, specialising in Residential and Supported Living Services, to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs. We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the above positions. The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role. Candidates must be highly motivated and creative, with a passion for engaging with Service Users on a daily basis. Candidates will contribute to enriching the lives of our Service Users. The role of Nursing within Nua Healthcare Services is to support individualswith Aspergers Syndrome/Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Borderline PersonalityDisorder, Brain Injury and Mental Health issues. This challenging role requiresparticular flexibility to appropriately support people in the pursuit of their lifestylechoices. This will include the following on a day-to-day basis: Supporting people with their daily plan Safe Administration and Management of Medication. Utilising nursing skills to support the delivery of effective frontline support toall Service Users. Support the development and implementation of Health Assessments,Medication Plans and all supporting documents which outline the supports required for individuals, including; personal plans, epilepsy plans, diabetic plans etc... Ensure that all Health Action Plans are delivered appropriately to all Service Users. Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individuals community. Communicate and liaise with the multidisciplinary team. Identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family andother supports as outlined within individual Personal Plans. Support Service Users with health appointments and follow through onrecommendations. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to service users. Promote & nurture person centred planning using key worker systems andshared goal setting, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Support and promote maximum opportunities for community involvement forpeople who avail of the service. Deliver training as advised by management. Assist the Person In Charge / Operations Manager in regard to compiling andpresenting reports as required. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to staff and Service Users. Qualification: Possess a recognised professional post-graduate relevant qualification. Registered with An Bord Altranais. If qualified outside the Republic of Ireland, their qualification is validated by the Department of Health or may be working towards meeting compensatory criteria set up by the department. Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management. Experience: Experience working in a similar environment, preferably a social care setting. Skills: Capable of working within a fast-paced and flexible team. Effective verbal and written communication. An understanding of the needs of individuals. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work on own initiative. Experience of relating to people in a supportive role. Willingness to learn. Reliability and flexible approach to work. Good organisation and IT skills.
