Job Description:
Peamount Healthcare is an independent voluntary organisation that operates in partnership with the HSE, CHO7 and Dublin Midlands Hospital Group to provide a range of high-quality health and social care services.
The Basic Grade Pharmacist will report directly to the Pharmacy Executive Manager and participate in the Pharmaceutical Service as part of a professional and dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service, including prescription review, patient counselling, and medication reconciliation on admission.
- Ensure the safe use of medicines by evaluating and managing risks associated with the use of medicines.
- Work with the pharmaceutical technicians and other pharmacists to ensure that patients have all required drug therapy available to them.
- Deliver training and education to medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff.
- Participate in the training of Pharmacy Students.
Requirements:
- Be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered.
- Possess the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Terms and Conditions:
- Remuneration is in accordance with the salary scale approved by the Department of Health.
- Annual leave: 27 days per annum pro rata based on contracted hours.
