Job Description

My client, a leading multinational, require a Financial Accountant in their Record to Report team for the Cork based client that services the financial reporting requirements of the EMEA region entities.

This is an initial 6 month contract of with the potential for longer term with multiple projects upcoming in 2025.

Responsibilities Of The Financial Accountant

• Responsible for the timely and accurate review and posting of month end close and accounting transactions; P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation & resolution
• Ownership of KPI delivery, and improvements where required, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Ensure financial records are in compliance with US and Local GAAP
• Compliance with SOX requirements and testing
• Support Internal and External Audits
• Responsible for the successful transition of activity from local entities into central finance function.

Requirements Of The Financial Accountant

• Ideally ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified.
• Relevant/appropriate statutory or audit experience
• Strong technical skills and keen to develop further. Good understanding of US GAAP reporting
• SAP or ORACLE exposure a distinct advantage
• Strong problem solving capability
• Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards
• Project management experience beneficial
