FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Ruminant Business Manager on behalf of a leading animal nutrition business. This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working with some progressive beef and dairy customers with large feedlots in the Midlands area. Our client has been supporting the farming community for over 25 years with their comprehensive range of high-quality feed and supplements. Their key to success has been the strong business relationships they have made with dairy, beef & pig farmers in supporting animal health & farm profitability. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have previous experience in a Ruminant Nutritionist role with the ability to advise on diet formulation , forage and grassland management. Responsibilities Full responsibility for business development and profitability for our animal feed product lines delivered through our existing customers and prospecting for new customers. These include Moist feeds Liquid's feed blends. Minerals/Performance Products plus a range of forage seeds Other innovative feed solutions currently under development. Deliver product portfolio, turnover and profit growth. Ensure routine and timely credit control activities. Manage relationships with key customers and expand customer base. Maintain excellent knowledge of Irish animal feed sector including market trends, challenges, opportunities, impact of external/international factors on the Irish sector etc. Ensure Group senior management are kept up to date on business performance, activities, prospects and challenges. Develop an extensive network of contacts amongst customers, influencers and regulatory authorities. Ensure relevant customer contacts / communications are updated on CRM system. Liaise with other team members (logistics, marketing, finance etc.) Qualifications A 3rd level Degree in Agriculture A minimum of 3 to 5 years commercial experience Proven experience in a Ruminant Nutrition role. The ability to work as part of a team.
