Experienced Safety Advisor sought for commercial building construction project in Galway, working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to ensure a safe working environment.

- Assist Head of H&S in developing and rolling out company strategy
- Ensure workplaces are audited and risk reviewed in line with current safety legislation and standards
- Carry out weekly site safety inspections and audits
- Compile and maintain records and reports as part of the online EHS system
- Monitor Health and Safety performance within the Business Unit and prepare reports
- Assist tender and prequalification teams with Health and Safety submissions and provide practical solutions
- Identify learning and development requirements for staff and coach them in Health and Safety expectations and standards
Working knowledge of ISO and HSQE regulations and legislation for the construction sector is required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a health and safety position within the construction industry, ideally on commercial building construction projects
- A third-level qualification in health and safety/occupational health and safety
- Excellent written/verbal communication, time management, and organisation skills
