A Safety Project Engineer is required to support maintenance activities and ensure safety protocols are followed in a Pharmaceutical organisation in Dublin.
Key responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, supporting preventive maintenance, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential hazards.
- Support the site preventive maintenance programme with a focus on safety to minimize risks and downtime.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
- Support site HAZOP programme.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and safety inspections, repairs, and incidents.
- Oversee contractors to ensure they follow safety guidelines and complete work to a satisfactory standard.
- Identify opportunities for improving safety and efficiency in maintenance processes.
- Support the site sustainability programme, hard projects and digitization.
Key Experience:
- Third level degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Safety Engineer in a Pharmaceutical environment.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical and process systems.
- Ability to read system schematics and perform advanced troubleshooting.
- In-depth understanding of safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
