Job Description

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Sales and Events Manager. This is a permanent, full time role. Fully office based. Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm Co. Laois Salary up to €45,000 plus bonus Main duties: To ensure that all accounts both managed and target accounts are looked at To ensure that solid relationships are maintained and developed in key accounts with a view to retain and grow these accounts Responsible for ensuring the Weddings/Events Team are managed as their Line Manager To develop new accounts in target regions and segments to ensure that a pipeline is being delivered for current and future business To manage site inspections, providing key research into the client and communicate this to the hotel management team & interdepartmental teams therefore maximising the opportunity to convert the business To mentor some of the junior team supporting and developing their sales skills Management of the strategies relating to the sourcing, identifying and development of new business. To ensure that adequate ROI is communicated and generated from attendance at sales activities & events To be a senior member of the sales team and represent the DOS at internal or external events in their absence. Main requirements: Hospitality experience a distinct advantage Strong communication skills Customer care skills in line with brand expectations Presentation skills Commercial & Negotiation skills
