Sales Manager Job Summary: The Division Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales activities within their designated division. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, building and nurturing client relationships, overseeing the external sales team, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a high-performing sales team. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive sales plans that align with company objectives and drive revenue growth. • Public Tender Management: Monitor and manage public tender opportunities, ensuring timely identification, evaluation, and submission of bids in accordance with procurement guidelines and company strategies. • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, ensuring they meet or exceed sales goals. • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly. • Performance Monitoring: Set performance metrics, track progress, and provide regular reports to sales management on sales activities, achievements, and challenges. • Budget Management: Manage the division’s sales target and cost budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, purchasing, other sales divisions, and internal sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment of sales strategies with overall business goals. • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour. Qualifications and requirements: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred but not essential. • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the healthcare or pharma sector. • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a sales team, with a track record of achieving sales targets. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies effectively. • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to foster long-term relationships. • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus. • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support sales activities within the division.
