  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of industry experience in advertising, sales or business development, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in leading a sales team.
  • Ability to communicate in French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial teams (e.g., sales, marketing).
  • Knowledge of traditional and online marketing strategy and tactics or e-commerce experience.
  • Ability to model and coach sales behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and engaged promotions.
  • Ability to own sales team operations (e.g., portfolio management, team building, KPI measurement, and execution).
  • Ability to take initiative and grow in a rapidly changing environment, with effective problem-solving and investigative skills.

The Mid-Market Sales (MMS) team is a critical growth engine for medium-size clients in Google Customer Solutions in France.

As a Mid-Market Sales manager, you will lead and coach a high-performing sales team to help them understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will enable your team to exceed ambitious business growth and product goals and objectives and key results, assisting them in managing portfolios of diverse businesses at various stages. You will set the direction for how your team understands and transforms their customers and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, motivate, and develop a client-facing and high-performing sales team of account strategists and account executives.
  • Deliver against ambitious business growth and product growth goals, grow engagement, and client satisfaction for a portfolio of medium businesses in an assigned market.
  • Analyze data, trends, and client performance with teams to develop strategic plans for customers while tracking activity and provide detailed data analysis weekly, driving consistent CRM tracking.
  • Model and coach sales behaviors, including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and promotions.
  • Lead and strengthen executive-level relationships through key C-level meetings, business reviews, and speaking engagements.
